These terms and conditions apply to the event described on the booking confirmation and ticket (each an “Event”) provided by Our Media a company registered in England and Wales under company number 05715415, with our registered office and main trading address at Eagle House, Colston Avenue, Bristol, England BS1 4ST, (“we”, “us” or “Our Media”).
When you book to attend any of our events, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. You should read these terms and conditions carefully before making a booking. We recommend that you save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 Submitting a booking for the Event is a request to attend, not a confirmation. We’ll accept your booking request once we send a written confirmation email with the access details needed to attend the Event. Please ensure you provide a valid email address, as that’s how we’ll send your confirmation.
1.2 Once you receive your booking confirmation and ticket, please review these carefully. While we’ll make every effort to fix any mistakes, we can’t guarantee all errors can be corrected after purchase.
1.3 The listed price on our website is the Event price, unless there’s an obvious error.
1.4 By submitting a booking for an event, you warrant that:
1.4.1 you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
1.4.2 you are at least 18 years old; and
1.4.3 you have a credit or debit card that we accept and you have been authorised to use such credit or debit card (e.g. it is in your name or you have permission to use it).
1.5 Full payment is required when we accept your booking.
1.6 Payment can only be made by credit or debit card. Cash or cheques will not be accepted.
1.7 We may limit the number of tickets one person can buy. We reserve the right to cancel bookings exceeding the per-person ticket allocation.
1.8 All bookings are non-transferable and cannot be resold commercially. You must not share, sell or otherwise make available to any other person the link, password and/or other access details we may provide you to enable you to attend the Event. You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your password or account identifiers by others.
1.9 No one will be allowed admission to the Event without a valid booking and ticket.
2. Attending the Event
2.1 For the safety of people at the Event, the venue management and Our Media reserve the right to refuse admission and conduct security searches as they deem appropriate.
2.2 You may be required to adhere to Government Legislation or the venue operator’s specific terms of entry. This could be, but not limited to wearing face coverings, providing negative lateral flow test, or use of vaccine passports.
2.3 Please be aware that while attending the Event, Our Media along with our trusted sponsors and partners may capture your image or voice on film, photography, or audio recording. These recordings could be used for broadcast, publication, or security purposes. By making a booking, you consent to potentially being filmed, photographed, or recorded as an attendee at the Event.
2.4 If all or any of the Event is planned to take place outdoors it will take place regardless of weather conditions (unless deemed unsafe by the safety officer). There are no refunds for bad weather (at indoor or outdoor events). We strongly advise that you come dressed appropriately for an outdoor Event.
2.5 Please check the Event details, timings and car park charges prior to travelling as these may be subject to change.
2.6 Please check your route prior to travelling to ensure you arrive on time. Our Media is not responsible for any delays due to travel disruptions.
3. Cancellations, Refund and Changes to the Event
3.1 Our Media reserve the right to cancel the Event or make changes to the date, time and/or content of the Event in circumstances beyond its reasonable control without any obligation to make any refunds or exchange tickets.
3.2 If the Event is cancelled by Our Media, we will notify you as soon as possible and (except as set out in section 3.1 above) refund the amount paid by you for the Event.
3.3. If we must change the date or time of the Event or replace a speaker, we will notify you as soon as possible and your booking will be transferred or updated to reflect the new time and/or date. We will make every reasonable effort to ensure that any replacement speaker has similar expertise to the one advertised (although the title of the Event may change).
3.4 No refund will be given if the time of the Event changes or if we replace the speaker. We will only offer a refund in the event of a change in the date of the Event if you request a refund.
3.5 If the Event is rescheduled, changed, moved or cancelled, Our Media cannot be held responsible for any resulting costs you may incur for travel, accommodation and other related goods, services or compensation.
3.6 Once a booking is completed and confirmed by us, we will not offer any refund to you should you decide not to attend the Event. Bookings for the Event cannot be transferred to another event or to another date for the same Event.
3.7 If you are unable to attend the Event due to illness, including but not limited to COVID-19, or any other circumstances beyond your reasonable control, Our Media shall not be obligated to issue a refund. Our Media strongly recommends that attendees obtain appropriate travel insurance or other insurance coverage to protect against such eventualities.
